My Brother In-Law asked me to recreate his MTB Rocket Fish from the early 80's. We tried for months to find a picture of the board or one like it. I remembered the board pretty well and even got to ride it a couple of times...over thirty years ago....UUUUuuuuuuugghhhhhhh I feel OLD! Anyway I finally just took a stab at the design and scaled the size up since we're not 140 lb teenagers anymore!
Here is the result:

The Surf Shack
Wanted to post a few pictures of my "Surf Shack". This is where I can escape from the daily grind and work on my surfboards. I've been working on it for a couple of years to finally get to this point. I feel pretty good about the quality of boards that I can now produce from my little Shack..
A Longboard for James
This is my most recently completed board. I made it for a good friend in South Carolina who will surf it at the "Washout" in Folly Beach. It is polyurethane/polyester construction. All the color work is tinted resin. Swirled bottom and a three panel deck patch. Dimensions are 9'6"X22"X3". Lamination is 4+6oz deck X 6oz bottom.

Welcome to my new blog!
Hey everyone! Welcome to my blog! In the days, weeks, and months to follow I'll be posting my work here. I've been shaping and glassing my own surfboards for several years now and wanted to create a place to share my progress with friends and family. My first task at hand is to gather up and post the photos of the boards that I've already completed. I am also very close to starting on a new project where I'll be building my first hollow wood surfboard. I hope it turns out well! At any rate you will get to see the step by step process one way or the other.
